Hello, my name is Rhea Ward and I sing and play the 5-string banjo and ride a Harley for Jesus. Our ministry, “Bikin’ & Pickin’ for Jesus, is first and foremost “All About Jesus.”

        After many years in the middle GA area, playing and singing with friends in several small bands, the Lord called me into motorcycle ministry. Since then He has opened many doors and greatly increased the ministry opportunities.

 

       He brought my husband, Russ Ward, into my life and we now work as a Christian team riding the “highways and byways” together sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ - Me singing and picking the banjo and Russ riding his Harley and his new Honda Goldwing and pulling the trailer to haul the banjo.

       The Lord uses both the music and motorcycles as tools to draw the attention of people. We then have an opportunity to talk or pray with them and plant a few seeds of the gospel message.

       Russ and I are both members of CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association). I am often invited to play for CMA State and National Rallies throughout the USA and with the local chapter at other bike rallies.

       The Lord has given us an awesome opportunity to “minister to the ministers” by encouraging other CMA members who are out spreading the gospel.

       During 2011, 2009, 2008, & 2007, the Lord opened doors for us to travel by motorcycle and share in music in many states in the USA, including 2 trips to Sturgis, South Dakota, and Chama, New Mexico for 2009 CMA National West Rally, and in 2011, our longest ride yet to Moses Lake, Washington for the CMA National West Rally and a fantastic riding tour of the Northwestern USA.        We also minister in music in both the middle GA and Omaha, Nebraska/Council Bluffs, Iowa area. I play regularly in the middle GA area with my current band, Good News Bluegrass. Jesus commands us in the Bible in Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” So we Go Bikin’ & Pickin’ for Jesus riding the highways for His Glory!!!
